Why I'm starting to hate the GOP

Today was a red-letter date for me. Everything that had been brewing with uncertainty and frustration crystalized in one, blinding moment of truth upon reading comments by Nevada Senator John Ensign, the person appointed chairman of the NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee for those of you in Rio Linda).
And just what were Senator Ensign's remarks to the Los Angeles Times? Take a look.
"If you have an R in front of your name, you better run scared," said Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, who says the party will do well if it holds its losses to three or four seats.
Way to stoke up the party faithful, Senator Ensign.
Just at a time when we need someone in the House or Senate 'leadership' to show some kind of enthusiasm, some kind of combativeness, some kind of GUTS, we instead get whimpishness and acting the GOP Apologist to yet another organ of liberal media by none other than the man in charge of the party's senatorial campaign.
Bravo Senator... Brav-friggin-o!!!
It's amazing to come on RS all the time and listen to appeals from Moe, Eric and others encouraging us to donate $ to the GOP to ensure that our party keeps some semblence of power in Washington D.C., and then we get treated to the spectacle of a so-called party man poor mouthing those with an (R) in front of their name.
Senator, with all due respect... NO! SLASH THAT STATEMENT BECAUSE I HAVE NO (AS IN A NUMERICAL TALLY OF 0) RESPECT FOR YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE IN THIS PARTY ANY MORE. BETWEEN 2002-2006 THE GOP HAD CONTROL OF THE U.S. SENATE AND YOU MANANGED TO SCUTTLE JUDGES (THANK YOU, JOHN MCCAIN, MIKE DEWINE AND LINDSEY GRAHAM), VASCILATE ON PASSING A DRILL BILL FOR OIL EXPLORATION IN ANWR (THANKS AGAIN, MCCAIN AND FELLOW RINO ENABLERS), PASS A BONDOGGLE OF A HIGHWAY BILL THAT WAS NOTHING BUT A SMOKEHOUSE OF PORK, HAVE MEANINGLESS AND WASTEFUL HEARINGS ON STEROIDS IN BASEBALL (YES, FRIGGIN STEROIDS IN BASEBALL IS WHY I SENT MY SENATOR TO D.C.-NOT!), AND THE ALL AROUND, I'M-NOT-GOING-TO-BE-MEAN-BECAUSE-I-WANT-MY-GOOD-FRIENDS-FROM-THE-OTHER-SIDE-TO-LIKE-ME-AND-THE-BELTWAY-MEDIA-TO-LIKE-ME-THEREFORE-I'M-GOING-TO-PUTDOWN-MY-OWN-PARTY-EVERY-CHANCE-I-GET-BECAUSE-IT'S-OBVIOUS-EVERYONE-HATES-US-BECAUSE-THE-PRESS-SAYS-SO... To add insult to injury, this week you trot out that scamppering squirrel of a senator, Lindsey Graham to go head to head with John Kerry on FACE THE NATION. I don't have to read the transcript, I already can guess how it went. Senator Kerry spent all his time trashing our efforts, the administration, President Bush and anyone who was for the war while Little-Boy-Founteroy Lindsey Graham sat there with that faggoty smile on his face making apologies for any mistakes or missteps in Iraq and then going on to say that NOW we have the right strategy in place thanks to Johnny Mac, a man who's butt cheeks never get cold thanks to Lindsey's constant kisses!
Good Lord, is this the same party I once ardently supported for 21 years? What in the hell has happened to these guys? For 8 years President Bush has sent them the judges, the legistlation, the other appointees for government positions and for 8 years these idiots have managed to accomplish almost nothing, NOTHING, and that was even when they had control of the House for 6 years and the Senate for 4.
Screw them. Losing big in 2008 might be just what this party needs to get some people with some fight in them. I am sick and tired of people apologizing for just believing in something other than the liberal spin and then feeling the need to fall like a line of dominos the second someone dares say something ugly about you. GET A SPINE YOU WORTHLESS JELLYFISH!!!
No doubts now, I HATE the GOP. This ain't your father's party anymore. Sadly, it isn't mine either.

This is an example why the GOP is the weakening.
Because of the lack of faith of its leaders. They are afraid of their own misdoings and own "doing nothing".
Common, we have to elect new bunch of young, principled GOP senators and representatives and leaders!

The GOP national leadership needs to be relieved of command for gross incompetence. This is the unhealthiest, weakest, most anxious/depressed group I've seen in awhile. There is no time to feel sorry for them or get them "help." There are grown-up issues at stake which demand that impaired individuals be RELIEVED IMMEDIATELY. Can you imagine any self-respecting, mentally healthy individual talking like Ensign talked? Can you imagine the mental state of a Party that could listen to this crap and not be outraged?. I've voted straight Republican for 30years and I too feel hatred for the current GOP. In a battle between good and evil, you may hate your enemy but your allies who are too spiritually weak to fight are even more despicable.

My father and I talked about the Senate (and congress in general) for a while not too long ago.
we agreed. It seemed as though, when the Republicans had control of Congress, from under Clinton through 2006, that they really seemed to be plodding along, trying to not make too many waves.
When someone made waves (like Newt) they were kind of out of a job.
We agreed that it seemed as though the Republicans in Congress did not WANT to be in power, so that they did not have to be accountable or responsible for anything.
There are notable exceptions, of course, but that is an overall feeling that we both had, and I do not think my father and I are alone in that thinking.

The only hope is the US Senate. The midde America state Senate candidates have only to say that they will fight BOTH canditates attempt to hand this coutnry to Mexico. As Dick Morris said, "Are your parents or grand parents going to stand in line for a liver transplant behind an illegal immigrant"? This issue will save a few senate seats. The only hope against both candidates.
